Bank staff on strike today and tomorrow (14th and 15th March)!

As a mal of protest against the central government’s announcement that 2 public sector banks are to be privatised, the bank employees throughout the country are striking work today (Monday, 14th March and tomorrow 15th March).
During the budget presentation of the central government, it was mentioned that 2 public sectors banks are to be privatised. The bank staff, protesting against this proposal, indulged in different forms of protests. The officers and the other bank employees had announced to go on strike as a protest on `14th & 15th March throughout the country.
As per the above situation, all the public sector bank employees and officers have indulged on a strike for 2 days - today & tomorrow - Monday & Tuesday.
Over 9 lakhs bank employees are participating in this strike throughout the country! Around 50000 bank employees and officers are participating in the State of Tamil Nadu. Over 88000 bank branches remain closed throughout the country due to this strike... In the State of Tamil Nadu, around 14000 bank branches are closed.
Due to the above strike, financial transactions worth Rs. 75000 Crores will get affected!
At the same time, the bank officials have informed that sufficient quantum of cash has been organised to ensure the full-scale operations of the ATMs.
It is also notified that the private sector banks will function as usual!
