Indias first ever all women managed luxury residences, now at OMR in Chennai

Creating an equitable workplace and empowering women in the hospitality industry is very important.
On Thursday, 4th March 2021, Indian Hotels Company limited or IHCL (south Asia’s largest hospitality company) grabbed many eyeballs when it announced the first ever all women managed luxury residences at Taj Wellington Mews in Chennai. It is now said that this initiative was in line with the company’s ongoing efforts in creating an equitable workplace and ecosystem and empowering women in the hospitality industry.
It was later mentioned by Rakhee Lalvani, vice-president, public relations and corporate communications, IHCL that women at IHCL have played an important role in the organisation with their superb contributions. By that, the women had pushed the boundaries also.
Information is that the upcoming Taj Wellington Mews in Chennai managed by all women was a proud moment for IHCL and it was a testament to the group’s commitment towards improving the gender balance. This was according to the vice-president.
