Clash of IIT JEE Main and class 12 board exams is causing worry to many students, parents in TN

After Covid-19 infection, the students as well as the parents have another reason to worry now!!
Many students opt for Biology-Maths combination group after class 10 with the hope of getting admission to both engineering as well as medicine courses.
It is now learnt that many CBSE class 12 students belonging to this Biology-Maths group are worried about their board examinations clashing with the IIT JEE (Main) entrance examination in the month of May.
The examination date sheets were released by CBSE and as per the sheet it is clear that the date of Biology examination on 24th May would clash with the final session of the IIT JEE main that would be held between 24th May and 28th May 2021. More than 5lakhs of students would be appearing for the examinations is known.
To avoid clashing with CBSE class 12 biology examination with IIT JEE Mains, the teachers and students in Tamil Nadu want the NTA or national testing agency to delay the start of JEE Main final session.
It was brought out by a Chennai based CBSE class 12 student of Biology-Maths group that Biology was a vast subject and students need to concentrate more on the subject. He added that the date clash would affect just Biology-Maths students. Another student who has applied to all four sessions of JEE (Main) spoke about how the May session would be his last chance. He wanted NTA to change the date of IIT JEE main so that the students would be able to focus on the Biology subject examination well.
Information is that NTA would be conducting JEE (Main) from 23rd February to 26th February and from 15th March to 18th March and from 27th April to 30th April and from 24th May to 28th May this time. It is well known that then engineering admissions in TN would be based on the marks scored in the board examinations. Point is that the students would give more importance to the session conducted after the board examinations. A day after JEE Main, CBSE has scheduled computer science board examination for class 12 students on 29th May.
As per a teacher of class 12, the students would be highly stressed by this schedule as both the exams are tough and the dates are also clashing. She then mentioned that though exams would be conducted in 4 sessions and how all the four sessions would be important.
