State Health Minister - Do not take alcoholic beverages after corona vaccination!

The Health Minister of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, C. Vijayabhaskar has informed that the pubic must not believe the rumours that are floating around regarding the coronavirus vaccination.

Corona vaccination has been despatched to the 10 zones in the State of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, 12th January. The vaccination received at Trichy has been stored safely in the godown in the Office of the Assistant Director of the Department of Health. The State Minister for Health and Pubic Welfare of Tamil Nadu visited the above godown on Wednesday for an inspection and analysis.

Along with the TN State Minister for Health, State Tourism Minister, Vellamandi N. Natarajan, the Minister for Backward Community Welfare S. Valarmathi and Trichy District Collector S. Sivarasu also participated in this visit.

The State Health Minister flagged off the vehicles carrying the vaccination to other districts along with the security vehicles.

Subsequently, the Health Minister had a session with press reporters. He shared:

“The vaccination material for all the 10 zones in the State of Tamil Nadu has arrived. Arrangements are made to dispatch the vaccination material in vehicles with suitable safety to the various districts. A total of 68000 vaccines have arrived with the distribution – Trichy – 17100, Pudhukkottai – 3800, Aranthangi – 3100, Perambalur – 5100, Ariyalur – 3300, Karur – 7800. Thanjavur – 15500, Thiruvarur – 6700, and Nagappattinam – 6400.

The Chief Minister of Tami Nadu, E. Palaniswamy will be inaugurating the national coronavirus vaccination on 16th January. Please do not believe any of the rumours floating around regarding the coronavirus vaccines. In this regard, stringent action will be taken on those spreading false rumour regarding the coronavirus vaccination on social media.

Please note that the immunity against the coronavirus will develop only after 42 days after the vaccination. Do not take alcoholic beverage after the 1st Dose of Vaccination. One must refrain from taking alcoholic beverages for 28 days when it is due for the 2nd dose of vaccination. Please do not isolate the vaccinated persons for whatever reasons. Elaborate arrangements have been made for ensuring vaccination for all citizens in all the districts!”
