NO 100% occupancy in the theatres and multiples in TN, special shows allowed

There were lots of oppositions for allowing 100% occupancy in the theatres and multiples in Tamil Nadu. It is now brought out that on Friday the Tamil Nadu government withdrew the order permitting 100percent occupancy in the theatres and multiplexes. It must be taken into note that the Madras High Court had directed the Tamil Nadu government not to permit more than 50% occupancy in the theatres and multiplexes in Tamil Nadu.
Few days back, Centre had raised objections to the order by the Tamil Nadu government in permitting 100 percent occupancy in the theatres is well known to us.
Special shows allowed:
The theatres would be allowed to screen special shows and this was according to the state government. On 4th December 2020, Tamil Nadu relaxed norms and Centre sent a letter to the chief secretary of Tamil Nadu for strictly adhering to the SOP for Covid-19. The letter also mentioned withdrawing 100% occupancy order. Last week, actor Vijay made many heads turn when he met the CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. E. Palaniswamy and requested him about 100% occupancy in the theatres in Tamil Nadu. It must be recalled that the representatives of the film industry also represented the issue.
Netizens took to the social media to show their anger at the Tamil Nadu government for giving permission for 100% occupancy in the theatres and multiplexes at this time of Covid-19 pandemic. On Wednesday, MHA wrote a letter to the Tamil Nadu chief secretary, Mr. Shanmugam about the decision of Tamil Nadu government to allow 100% occupancy was against the MHA guidelines. Instructions were by MHA to the chief secretary to permit just 50% occupancy in the theatres and multiplexes.
It must be noted that Mr S. Dhanu, president of FFI, wrote a letter to the home minister Mr. Amit Shah requesting him to permit 100perecent occupancy in the theatres citing 500 films that were ready for release in different languages.
