The fees structure for government quota medical graduate courses

The details of the fees structure for admission to the graduate medical courses (MBBS & BDS) under the government quota and the administration quota in the private medical colleges has been released.

The Directorate of the Medical Education has advised the student6s joining the above graduate medical courses to understand the fees structure completely before taking a decision.

The main reason for this above advice is said to be the differences in fees structure in different private medical colleges and the higher fees structure announced for the Chidambaram Raja Muthaiah College functioning under the government.

Presently, there are 3600 seats for MBBS and 100 seats for BDS in the Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges. There are 14 private medical colleges in the state of |Tamil |Nadu with 2100 seats available, The counselling for admission to these seats is scheduled t5o commence shortly.

As regards the seats available for graduate medical courses in the government medical colleges, the yearly fees for MBBS course is fixed at Rs. 13610 and |Rs. 11610 for the BDS course. In the private colleges, the fees for the seats under the government quota is fixed at Rs. 2.50 Lakhs and for the administration quota, it is fixed at Rs. 6 lakhs.

At the same time, as regards the seats available in the private medical colleges from one college to another. Considering this aspect only, the Directorate of Medical Education has cautioned the candidates to read and understand the fees structure completely before deciding to join the course!

  • Velammal Medical Colege - 4.15 L to 12.50 L
  • Dahnalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College, Perambalur - 4.00 L to 12.50 L
