Rains to be back again in Chennai now after few days of dry spells, very active phase of monsoon

For the last few days, Chennai has been having dry weather. , It is now revealed that in another 48 hours the Chennai city would receive mild to moderate rains and the skies would be cloudy.

According to some sources belonging to RMC Chennai, the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal persists at 0.9km above the mean sea level of the TN coast. In the next 48 hours, there would be light to moderate rains with thunderstorms in Chennai over coastal TN and Puducherry.

The director of RMC, Mr Puviarasan, was of the opinion that the sky condition in Chennai and in the surrounding places would be generally cloudy and thunderstorms with light to moderate rains would occur in some places. 

The maximum temperature is likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius. .High rainfall has been recorded in the areas like Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode and The Nilgiris in the night and in the early morning.

On Thursday, districts such as Madurai, Sivaganga, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, The Nilgiris, Dindigul, Pudukottai, Cuddalore and Mayiladuthurai etc are expected to get heavy rains along with thunderstorms.

As per the Chennai weather blogger Mr. Paradeep john, the rains would be superb for the Chennai water storage. He explained about how the Madden Julian oscillation or MJO has come to Indian basin and how Chennai would be going into a very active phase of monsoon. 

Information is that most of the lakes would get filled even before the end of the month of November. There would be some cleaning that would be taking place in the filthy rivers. On 22 October and on 29th October, Chennai received heavy rains and it is now believed that the groundwater would improve with more rains in this month.
