Resumption of Chennai Metro City buses: details of terminus and the number of passengers!

The Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation bus services are resuming from today (Tuesday, 1st September) throughout Tamil Nadu.

It is already known that the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced some restrictions on travel from one district to another.

In this scenario, information is gathered that around 3300 buses are to be operated in the Chennai Metro City from today (Tuesday, 1st September) and 20000 buses are to operate throughout Tamil Nadu.

Further, a maximum of 24 passengers is to travel on a bus. (Ony one passenger can sit in the double seats in the bus) Standing on the steps and travelling is NOT ALLOWED.

No buses would be operated from the important bus termini such as Chennai Broadway and Koyambedu to Thiruvallur, Chingleput, and Kanchipuram Districts.

 It has been ordered that the buses must be operated within the Chennai district domain.

It has been announced that the buses would operate only as per the following:

·  Chennai to Thiruporur (via OMR)

·  Chennai to Guduvancheri (vis GST Road)

·  Chennai to Kovalam (via East Coast Road)

·  Chennai to Thirumazhisai (via Thiruvaur Road)

·  Chennai to Karanodai (via Red Hils Road)

·   Chennai to Poonamallee (via Bangalore Road)

·   Chennai to Oragadam (via Mudichur Road)

·   Chennai to Thirunindravur (via MTH Road)

·   Chennai to Minjur (via Thiruvotriyur Road)
