Posted on: 01/Sep/2020 9:45:09 AM
The temples and malls have been opened in Chennai and the MTC buses have started to operate. Soon, there would be metro trains also running in Chennai. The Chennai residents would not be forced to stay at their homes.

Now, there is a fear among the residents that the relaxation in the restrictions might lead to more Covid-19 cases. It must be noted that certain high risk areas like cinema theatres have been shut now. It was pointed out by a Chennai resident that after many months of being at the homes people now can move freely.

The point is people must be cautious now as there might be an increase in the Coronavirus positive cases in Chennai. People inspite of maintaining social distancing and wearing facemasks might get affected with Covid-19 infection.

It is well known that the business activities have suffered due to the lockdown to control the spread of the infection and the businessmen would feel happy and relieved now.

As per Mr. Agnishwar Jayaprakash, a social entrepreneur, the TN government is now in a catch-22 situation. He explained about how the economy has suffered during the lockdown and how it must recover sooner than later.

Just similar to how the western nations have taken Coronavirus infection as a part of their lives, we must also understand that. He concluded that it was important for the local business to return to their former functioning.

A Chennai based businessman expressed his thoughts. He spoke about how there are many businesses that would be re-open despite the government suggesting work from home.

He added that there would be an increase in the business in Chennai city and how the rental costs would remain the same. He threw light about the hiatus Chennai was placed under in the last 6 months due to the lockdown.
