Vitamin A Camps for young children in Chennai Metro City!

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has announced that special camps will be conducted for administering all children under 5 years of age will be organized until 4th September.
In a separate notification, GCC has announced that the Vitamin A camps were organized in the Chennai Metro City on Monday (24th August) and the Vitamin A camps will continue to be organized on all days except Wednesday till 28th August in all the Primary Health Centers and the Corporation Maternity hospitals.
Vitamin A oral drops will be administered to children in the age group 6 months-5 years.
The camps will be conducted from 8.00 AM to 3.00 PM. The 2nd Phase of the Vitamin A camps will be organized on all days from 31st August until 4th September except on Wednesday.
Further, for the children who missed this opportunity, camps will be conducted on 29th August and 5th September.
Children are to be administered with Vitamin A oral drops every 6 months. Civic Body is organizing these camps twice a year.
The notification also mentioned that the guidelines for the COVID-19 prevention activities will be strictly followed in the above camps. Thermal scanners will be used on the parents who bring the children.
The public who attend the above camps must also strictly adhere to the preventive actions against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. They MUST wear face masks. They MUST observe social distancing.
