+1 Admission commences in Government Schools!

Admission for the +1 class (11th Standard) commenced in the Government and Government-aided schools continue - today (Monday, 24th August). It may be noted here that the admission for the classes from 1st Standard to the 10th Standard in the government and government-aided schools had commenced already from 17th August and continues.
With the important activity of the distribution of mark sheets for the 10th Standard students having been just completed, the admission for the 11th Standard (+1) class has commenced today (24th August). Priority is being given to the students who studied in the same school.
The procedure of admission is being carried out with all the coronavirus pandemic prevention guidelines such as wearing face masks and keeping social distance. The schools have explained that the admissions are done on the quota basis and no student is refused admission citing the marks obtained in the 10th Standard.
The circles in the higher education department of the Tamil Nadu State government have come out with the expectation that more than 1 Lakh students will get admission to the 11th Standard, especially as all students, had been declared passed in the 10th Standard this year.
