Admission in Tamilnadu Government High school to commence on 17th August!

The Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for School Education, K. A. Sengottaiyan, has informed that the admission in the government schools will commence on 17th August.
The State Minister for School Education had a session with the press at the Chief Secretariat of Tamil Nadu.
“Admission to the 1st, 6th, and 9th Standards in government schools will commence on 17th August. In a similar manner, admission to 11th Standard will commence on 22nd August.”
Subsequently, the Minister, while answering a question regarding the reopening of schools, he responded,” The extent of spread/impact of the raging coronavirus pandemic has not subsided yet in the country and especially in Tamil Nadu. Only when the spread/impact of coronavirus subsides completely, after consultation with the parents of the students and the academic experts, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu will take a decision after a review meeting with all departments.”
