3-language syllabus in the revised educational policy!

Posted on: 30/Jul/2020 2:34:41 PM
It has been informed in the revised education policy that the mother-tongue language would be mandatory up to 8th Standard and one 3rd language - Sanskrit or any other language - must be selected in the course as mandatory.

This new ‘3-language’ system has been introduced amidst great opposition/protests.

With the already existing system of either mother-tongue or the regional language to be mandatory and with English being language, it has been announced in the revised Education Policy that a 3rd language must be selected by the students and learned as mandatory.

It is further informed in the revised Education Policy that the students from the 6th to the 8th Standards must undertake either sports or practical systems under the topic, ‘Indian Languages’ and also, for the students from 9th Standard to 12th Standard, foreign languages from different countries will be taught.
