New Notifications on Lockdown Relaxation: Tamil Nadu State Government

A Special Notification released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu regarding the status on coronavirus pandemic:
“Honourable Amma’s Tamil Nadu State Government has been striving with maximum efforts to protect the citizens from the coronavirus infection. The effort is truly reflected in the wonderful statistics that the State of Tamil Nadu leads the entire country in the number of patients who had recovered completely after treatment. At the same time, the loss of lives due to the coronavirus infection has been the most minimum in the country.
In order to prevent the spread of the raging coronavirus in the country, the central government, under the National Disaster Management Act imposed total lockdown throughout the country from 25th March. The state of Tamil Nadu was also under lockdown. Subsequently, giving due consideration of the status and extent of the coronavirus infection in the state, and also realizing the importance of the citizens’ lifeline, the lockdown condition has been imposed with some relaxations in the state of Tamil Nadu until 31st July.
The lockdown, with various relaxations, is already in practice in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metro Police in the Chennai District.
Presently, except the ‘Containment Zones’ already declared in Chennai Metro City, all companies related to Information Technology have been functioning with 10% of the staff with the respective organizations arranging the transport for the to & fro travel of their respective employees.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu appeals to the citizens to strictly follow washing hands frequently both at the workplace and the residence. The citizens must wear face masks while venturing out; they must also adhere to the social distancing all the time while the citizens must avid venturing out unnecessarily!”
