GCC releases zone-wise corona-figures: Kodambakkam Zone leads! 25,69 under treatment!

Greater Chennai Corporation has released the zone-wise statistical details regarding coronavirus-infection, treatment, etc.
Over the past few weeks, the number of persons confirmed with the raging coronavirus infection has been increasing alarmingly each passing day!. Especially, the figures of the coronavirus-affected in Chennai Metro City has been quite alarming.
The number of coronavirus-infected persons in Chennai Metro City alone is 71,230
1,120 have died. 47,725 have recovered and returned home. 22,374 patients are under treatment.
Apart from this, around 1,250 persons, belonging to other districts are being treated in Chennai Metro City.
Out of the affected people in Chennai, 57.97% are men. 42.03% are women. On a single day - yesterday (Tuesday, 7th July) - alone, coronavirus test has been taken for 10,139 persons!
In this situation, GCC has released the zone-wise data of the persons under treatment. The details:
- 999 persons are under treatment in Thiruvotriyur Zone. Manali zone - 496 and Madhavaram Zone - 829.
- 1,690 are under treatment in Tondiarpet Zone, Royapuram - 1,964, Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar - 1,779.
- 1,221 are under treatment in Ambattur Zone, Anna Nagar - 2,432, Teynampet - 2,163, Kodambakkam - 2,569.
- 1,148 are under treatment in Valasarawalkam Zone. Alandur - 961, Adyar - 1,479, Perungudi - 882, Sholinganallur - 522.
