Coronavirus curve flattening in Chennai now, residents need not worry

For the last 3 months, Tamil Nadu government has been taking various measures to control the spread of Coronavirus infection in Chennai. This has proved to be effective now.

It was pointed out by the state health minister Mr. C. Vijayabaskar that Covid-19 cure is flattening now in the city of Chennai. The lockdown restrictions have been relaxed in Chennai and inspite of the relaxations the people must follow safety norms such as wearing facemasks, washing hands etc. This was according to the health minister. He spoke about how the Coronavirus curve is not peaking in Chennai but it is flattening now and how there is a stage for the people to reach a good stage.

On Monday, 6th July, the state health minister participated in a meeting with 43 senior doctors belonging to RGGGH Chennai. He made it clear that there was no reason to fear for Coronavirus infection deaths that have been increasing. He hinted about the deaths due to Coronavirus and due to co-morbid conditions. 

It is necessary for the people to follow the norms laid down by the TN government.  Important piece of information is that RGGGH has now got 1000 beds for treating Coronavirus patients. 

Soon, another 1000 beds would be added to this hospital and there would be a total of 2000 beds for treating moderate and severe Covids-19 patients.The health minister then shed light on the presence of 700 in-patients in this RGGGH and said none of them are on the support of ventilators.
