House - to - house checking and recording electricity consumption resumes!

The usual routine duty of visiting house-to-house for checking and recording electricity consumption by the TANGEDCO staff is all set to resume from today (Monday, 6th July).
As a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic the task of entering electricity consumption for the months of April and May were taken up only in June.
Meanwhile, 100$ lockdown conditions were imposed in Chennai and 3 other districts from 19th June. So, the activity of taking energy meter readings was stopped.
In this situation, with the recent lockdown of 6th Phase coming to a conclusion yesterday (Sunday, 5th July), the activity of taking house-to-house energy meter readings on electric energy consumption has been resumed from today (Monday, 6th July) and the staff has been instructed accordingly by TANGEDCO.
