1000 more beds added to Siddha care centres in Chennai for treating Coronavirus patients

There are at present 2 COVID care centres in Chennai and in these centres Coronavirus patients get treated by Siddha medicines. Now, as many as 1000 beds have been added by GCC to these COVID care centres to treat mild symptomatic patients as well as asymptomatic patients with Siddha medicines.
Encouraging results have been achieved by the combination of Siddha and allopathy medicines. Information is that as many as 569 Coronavirus patients have recovered and been sent back to their homes from the Saligramam COVID care centre.
This was explained by Mr G. Prakash, Chennai Corporation commissioner. He took part in the send-off the event at the Saligramam COVID care centre from where 30 patients got discharged on Friday. This centre in Chennai has got 200 Coronavirus patients getting treatment. Recently, a COVID care centre was started by GCC in Vyasarpadi and many patients are getting treatment here also. In the past, at a COVID care centre at Arumbakkam in Chennai, GCC provided Siddha medicines with allopathy medicines.
Later, Mr G. Prakash spoke in detail about the effectiveness of the combination of Siddha and allopathy medicines. He explained how out of 569 persons who were discharged from the Saligramam based COVID care centre one patient was a 90-year-old patient. He was happy that the centre had successfully treated many patients of age in 70s and 80s. The identification of space and addition of 1000 more Siddha beds would be the main priority of the civic body.
In the city of Chennai, everyday around 3000 persons with some kind of symptoms is getting identified. It is important for the residents to reveal their actual health conditions to the door-to-door survey workers.
Within a week of time, all DBC or Domestic Breeding Checker workers would be relieved from Coronavirus works and they would control mosquitoes breeding to prevent Dengue.
