The movement of the people has been restricted now due to the lockdown to control the spread of Coronavirus infection.

It is now known that just a few days back ADGP Mr. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal was appointed as Greater Chennai police commissioner and he took charge on Thursday. The latest news is to redress the grievances of the public, video conferencing would be launched.

It was later brought out by Mr. Mahesh Kumar Agarwal IPS that preparatory works for the video conferencing were going on and the phone number would be shared with the public. He spoke about how he would interact with the public three times a week through a video call to listen to the grievances.

Venturing outside the houses would create issues for others also as Coronavirus infection spreads fast from one to another. To avoid this, video conferencing methods of addressing public grievances would be important.

He explained, how the needful could be carried out and how to follow up action could be taken through video conferencing itself. The welfare of 20,000 police personnel belonging to GCC is very important and this was according to the newly appointed Chennai commissioner. Point is the public must follow the advice compulsorily to avoid issues.
