Medical camp which helps identifies infection of corona-virus!

In the checking done by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) infection testing centers, 6,500 infections of corona-virus have been confirmed so far. Here is a further explanation regarding these camps which help identify infection at an early stage itself and the contribution and the functioning of this GCC medical camps.
Under the Greater Chennai Corporation, 2 doctors have been appointed in each ward and 400 testing centers have been set up in 200 wards of GCC.
Apart from this, Primary Health Centers and Mobile Medical Camp, totaling 280, making up for a total of 680 test centers are functioning undertaking house-to-house testing as well in all streets.
In the initial stages, there were only very few testing centers. But, as they met with huge popularity with the public, and along with excellent results, the number of test cams was increased by many more!
The Health inspection squad which makes house-to-house with the thermal scanner and if they detect any person with cough or fever, the concerned persons are immediately taken to the nearest test camp for a blood test, etc.
In the camp, tests are conducted with Pulse Oximeter whether the quantum of oxygen is low..In case it does not appear like the common/regular cold/cough but symptoms of corona-virus infection, the patients are immediately taken to the nearest corona testing center. All the visitors to the medical camp are given vitamin tablets, doxycycline, and Zing tablets.
Each medical squad tests at least 100 persons every day on an average, checking for cough and fever. Especially, the senior citizens are given extra care and thorough checks done. The camps are shifted every 2 hours to a new place on a rotation basis.
In the last 25 days of the above routine of testing, these testing camps, numbering over 5,000, tested more than 32,000 persons and it was detected that 9,600 persons were infected!
Subsequently, these patients were tested for corona-virus and 6500 persons were confirmed with corona-virus infection!
With the impact/intensity of corona-virus pandemic on an increasing trend in the Chennai Metro City, in the 15 zones, as these testing camps help identify, especially the senior citizens, affected with corona-virus at an early stage itself, these camps organised by GCC make a huge contribution in preventing the spread of infection and enables prevent loss of lives as well!
