Decrease in Coronavirus fresh positive cases in Chennai for the first time since 3rd June

For so many days in this month of June, Chennai has been witnessing a large number of fresh Coronavirus positive cases in a single day.
Now for a change, a dip was witnessed yesterday 16th June in the number of fresh positive cases in the Chennai city for a single day. It is revealed that since 3rd June 2020 this is the first time there has been a dip in the number of Coronavirus cases in Chennai. Chennai city had 919 positive cases out of the total of 1515 cases in TN.
Information gathered is TN overall caseload went up to 48019 and as many as1438 people have recovered from Coronavirus infection and got discharged. Point is 528 persons have passed away in TN due to this infection. There have been a total of 34245 Covid-19 positive cases reported in Chennai and 18,565 have been discharged. As many as 422 persons have passed away in Chennai due to this infection. After getting treatment, a total of 26,782 have been discharged in TN.
It is important to mention that TN state recovery rate is around 55 percent and the mortality rate has been on the rise in the last 2 weeks and it has reached 1.1%. Yesterday, the highest number of samples was tested in a single day in TN and it was 19242. It is brought out that till now as many as748244 samples have been tested.
On Tuesday, Chengalpet saw 88 fresh positive cases and other districts like Tiruvannamalai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Nagapattinam witnessied 64 fresh cases, 60 fresh cases, 52 fresh cases, 46 fresh cases, 38 fresh cases respectively. There were as many as 20 fresh positive cases in Madurai, Districts lie Villupuram, Vellore, Trichy, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli etc recorded 10 fresh positive cases. Important piece of information is till now a total of 2221 persons who have returned from other countries and states have tested Coronavirus positive.
