Does corona infection spread through ATMs? A shocking report!

Irrespective of various preventive measures taken by both the central and state governments, the spreading intensity/impact of the raging coronavirus pandemic has continued increasing in the Chennai Metro City.
In this situation, a shocking report/information is doing the rounds that coronavirus infection spreads through ATMs.
It is feared that the ATMs - those which are attached to the banks and those which stand alone - are not maintained properly. Sanitizers are NOT kept for the visitors.
It is observed that infection might have spread through ATMs because of the above conditions.
It is also established that the above information is confirmed through enquiries conducted in certain places in the Chennai Metro City.
Coming to know of this, the Greater Chennai Corporation has emphasized that all ATMs in the Chennai Metro City MUST BE CLEANSED WITH DISINFECTANNTS and SANITIZERS MUST BE KEPT FOR THE CUSTOMERS/VISITORS!
GCC has further informed that action has been initiated to strengthen the safety of the ATMs with additional security immediately.
