The State Government of Tamil Nadu has taken a few bold cost-cutting measures trying to cut off expenditures and released some orders in this respect!
Government officials cannot fly in Executive Class on flights!
State Government of Tamil Nadu has planned to cut off 20% of the usual expenditure on various fronts.
The tradition of offering silk shawls, flower bouquets, and giving mementos in the various government functions.
Transfers will be permitted only for specific administrative reasons.
Advice has been given to the government officials to avoid special feasts taken during lunches and dinners on government-organized events.
Only the 2 departments of Health and Fire-fighting are permitted to undertake procurement of equipment.
Even if the state government officials go by flight service for official travel, only the equivalent of the train fare to the destination and return will be allowed!
