Not a single Corona virus positive case in 31 zones in Chennai in last 3 days

The superb piece of news that has come out now is around 31 out of 200 wards belonging to Chennai city have not recorded even a single Corona virus positive case for the last 3 days. This has been mentioned by Mr. J. Radhakrishnan, special officer to GCC.
He added that there were less than 10 Corona virus cases cumulatively in 136 wards belonging to the Chennai Corporation. It is now brought out that Corona virus infection has not been spreading across the entire Chennai city. Only certain specific areas had positive cases. It is known that zones like, Kodambakkam, Thiru- Vi- Ka Nagar, Tondiarpet and Royapuram are considered as problem areas.
The rate of increase in the number of Corona virus cases have been reducing in zones like Kodambakkam and Valasarawakkam. A new plan would be rolled out now by the GCC for every ward and this would be done after this analysis.
It is now said that the corporation workers would have mobile X-ray scanning machines and thermal scanners and thee workers would be deployed in these wards to screen as many as 200 homes daily.
Anjaneya Street, Bojarajan nagar and Annai Sathya Nagar are some of the important places in Royapuram and soon the people of these areas would be screened.
On Tuesday evening, GCC released ward wise Covid-19 incidence map and as per the map it is clear that Royapuram zone based Muthialpet/ward 56, Seethakathi Nagar/ward 60, Panamarathotti/ward50. George Town/ward 59 has 41 to 124 cases per lakh population. Pulianthope or ward 77 belonging to Thiru- Vi- Ka Nagar has got incidence of 124-242 cases per lakh population. Point is this is the ward with highest Corona virus incidence in Chennai.
It is important to mention that wards in other zones that has got 41-124 cases per lakh population include Madhuravoyal, Koyambedu, Ambattur, Nerkundram, Tondiarpet, Periyamedu and Krishnampet.
