More than 7000 Corona virus positive cases in TN with 509 fresh cases in Chennai

On Sunday, 10th May 2020, the total number of Corona virus cases went past 7000 in the state of Tamil Nadu. Chennai had as many as 509 fresh Corona virus positive cases. The total number of cases stands now at 7204 in TN. This has been the highest 24 hour jump and the number of Covid-19 cases in Chennai stands at 3839.
Yesterday, there were 3 deaths due to Corona virus in TN. Till now, the number of persons who have died due to this infection is 47 in TN.
It is important to mention that Chengalpet reported as many as 43 cases, Tiruvallur 47 cases and Kancheepuram 8 cases. These districts are neighbors to Chennai are known. Districts like Tirunelveli and Krishnagiri had 10 cases each.
Information collected is in the last 24 hours TN tested 12,962 people and discharged 135 persons and till now the total number of persons who got cured is 1969.
