771 tested Corona virus positive in TN on Wednesday, 324 cases in Chennai

With as many as 771 persons testing positive for Corona virus on Wednesday, 6th May 2020, the state of TN witnessed huge increase in the Corona affected persons.
The main reason for sudden increase in Covid-19 positive cases in TN was because of the Koyambedu cluster. Point is Koyambedu cluster has spread to all over TN now and 24 districts have reported new Covid-19 cases.
The Chennai city had fresh 324 Corona virus affected persons on Wednesday and there were 188 fresh cases from Ariyalur. From Cuddalore district, as many as 95 tested positive for Covid-19. As many as 45 persons from Kancheepuram district and 34 persons from Tiruvallur tested positive.
There were 2 deaths due to Corona virus infection in Chennai city on Wednesday and the total number of deaths in TN stands at 35 now. In Chennai, 22 deaths were reported due to Corona virus issue. In addition, as many as 330 persons recovered.
Focused testing of probable cases from Koyambedu cluster has resulted in the large increase in Covid-19 cases. It is important to mention that on Wednesday as many as 13281 persons were screened for Covid-19 infection. It is revealed that high risk groups would be screened and symptom based tests would be done on others.
