Summer vacation for Government schools from 21st April!

It is informed on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government School Education Board that the summer vacation for all government schools will commence from 21st April. The schools are scheduled to reopen during the 1st week of June.
+2 Public Examination commenced in the state on 2nd March. Around 8.35 Lakhs students have written these public examinations. +1 Public examinations have also commenced and are in progress.
The Public Examinations for the 10th Standard are scheduled to start on 27th March and will conclude on 13th April. Results will be released on 4th May.
+1 Public Examination concluded on 26th March.
In this situation, all the government higher secondary schools and high school under the control of the Tamil Nadu State Government Education Department will function until 20th April to conclude the academic year 2019-20 and thus school working days get over!
Subsequently, summer vacation is declared on 21st April for all government schools. The annual examinations for the students studying from 1st to 9th Standard will commence next month and will conclude on 20th April.
Thus, the next day after the last working day on 20th April, 21st April will mark the start of the summer vacation!
The government education circles inform that the schools will reopen by the 1st week of June. The School Education Department has ordered that keeping the holiday schedule in mind, lessons are to be taught expeditiously to cover the syllabus and the 3rd term examinations conducted at the district level must be conducted.
