Subway opened near Government Estate Metro Station!

The government Omandhurar Estate Metro Station is located near the Periyar statue located in Anna Salai. DMS Metro Station is located near DMS.
A decision was taken to build a subway in this location to facilitate the public to cross easily and also to reach the Metro Station easily.
Accordingly, the 2 subways located near the Periyar Statue, Wallajah Road were being renovated and the activities to link the subway with the Metro Station were in progress.
In this scenario, all the construction activities on the subway near the Government Estate Metro Station have been completed. Subsequently, this subway was opened for public service yesterday (24th February, Monday).
With this, Metro passengers can reach the station quite easily. Also, the public can cross Anna Salai without any difficulties.
Further activities such as the provision of all safety measures and also to prevent the pavement traders from occupying the subway are being initiated.
