Common Law Admission Test 2020

A pass in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is mandatory for the students pursuing courses on Law in quality universities/institutions. The 22 National Law Universities and over 400 other institutions offer admission to the courses on Law based on the performance of the applicant on CLAT.

For pursuing admission in graduate Law courses, it is mandatory to write and pass CLAT-UG and for admission to the postgraduate Law Courses, it is mandatory to write and pass CLAT-PG.

Courses: Ll. B. and Ll. M.

Academic qualifications:
  • For admission to Ll. B. Course, the candidate must have passed 12th Standard with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For joining Ll. M., the candidate must have passed Ll. B. or B. L. with minimum 55% marks.
  • For students belonging to SC/ST, a concession of 5% is offered for both courses above.
  • There is no upper age limit for writing CLAT.
CLAT Procedure

Questions will be asked from English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning.

CLAT-UG has 150 Objective questions. CLAT-PG has 100 objective questions.
