More than 8200 students got job offers: Placement in SRMIST

In this campus placement season till now, more than 8200 students belonging to SRMIST have received job offers.
In this year, SRMIST had broken the previous records for maximum job offers and attractive salaries received by the students. This was confirmed by a statement issued by this educational institute.
It is well known that TCS, CTS, Wipro and Infosys are four major IT firms and in this year as many as 3020 jobs offer out of total have come from these 4 big IT companies for SRMIST students. SRMIST student got the highest salary package of Rs 41.6 lakhs per annum from popular IT firm Microsoft. As many as 1965 job offers fell in the ‘dream’ and ‘super dream’ category.
It is important to note that ‘dream’ offers refers to salary of atleast Rs 5 lakhs and ‘super dream’ offer refers to a salary of atleast Rs 10 lakhs. The students of SRMIST have been involved in the integration of scientific and engineering principles for developing products and processes. This has resulted in the superb performance of the students of SRMIST and more job offers. This was mentioned by Mr Sriram Padmanabhan, director, career centre, SRMIST. He later explained how SRMIST arrange mock interviews plus impart advanced computing skills to the students.
The placement season would continue till the month of May and there would be more job offers for the SRMIST students. It is well known that SRMIST is located in Kattankulathur near Chennai and it got deemed status in 2003-2004 academic year.
