Changes in traffic regulations at Chennai Nandanam junction

Until yesterday (5th February, Wednesday), vehicles were allowed to proceed from Chamiers Road to Venkatnarayana road (opposite) at the Nandanam junction.
However, from yesterday, on a trial basis, the vehicles proceeding from Chamiers Road have been allowed to turn left in the Nandanam junction towards Saidapet and also turn right to proceed to Teynampet.
Similarly, there are no changes in proceeding directly to Venkatnarayana Road. The vehicles proceeding from Venkatnarayana Road to Chamiers Road will not be allowed to proceed directly to Chamiers Road at the Nandanam junction.
Instead, they have to turn left at the junction of the Vankatnarayana Road-South Boag Road and then proceed to Ma. Po. Si. Statue junction ad then proceeds to the respective destinations.
