GCC: Licence mandatory for entrepreneurs/industry owners!

Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has announced that it is mandatory for all the entrepreneurs and industry owners in the locations under the jurisdiction of GCC to have the proper licence for each type of industry.
A press notification released by GCC in this regard:
As per the Greater Chennai Corporation Municipal ACT 1919 and sections 279, 287, 288, 289(1), 304, and 309, it is mandatory for the entrepreneurs/industry owners in the areas under the jurisdiction of GCC to have the licence according to the field of the industry.
Please note that stringent action will be taken on those who violate the above ACT and operate an industry without the proper licence in the areas under GCC.
So, it is emphasised that the entrepreneurs/industry owners must take immediate action in case they do not possess the proper licence and apply for the same within 7 days of this date of notice in order to avoid above action.
