Pongal discounts for Chennai citizens: 50% fare in Metro Rail on 15th, 16th, and 17th!

It has been announced by CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Limited) that a 50% reduction in fare will be applicable on 15th, 16th, and 17th January.
It may be noted that this discount is available on holidays.
CMRL administration has further informed that cabs will be arranged from the Chennai Metro Railway Stations to the Marina Beach on 17th January - ‘Kanum’Pongal’ festival day - when very large crowds of citizens throng the favourite tourist spots in the Chennai Metro City!
So, the public can take a cab up to Marina Beach from any of the Chennai Metro Rail Station on the ‘Kanum Pongal Day’ (17th January).
It is worth noting at this juncture as the fare is already down by 50% and the comfortable travel is arranged, there are super-prospects of the Chennai (and the visiting) citizens to undertake travel by Chennai Metro Rail!
