Former Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker P H Pandian passes away!

The former speaker of the Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly speaker, P. H. Pandian passed away at the age of 75.
As he had been admitted in the hospital due to ill-health, he passed away without responding to the treatment.
P. H. Pandian (age:75) was born in Cheranmaadevi in Tirunelveli district. He was the speaker of the Legislative Assembly when MGR was the Chief Minister.
He was the Deputy speaker in 1980 and speaker in 1984. Further, he had worked as an advocate in Chennai High Court. He was elected as MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) on behalf of AIADMK in the years 1977, 1980, and 1984.
Tamil Nadu state minister Jayakumar observed that it is a great loss for AIADMK. Minister Kadambur Raju observed that P. H. Pandian was a major support to the former Chief Minister MGR. His passing away is indeed a great loss for the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.
