In Chennai, ahead of New Year Eve, there is more demand for self-driven rental cars and drivers

In another 2 days, 2019 would end and 2020 would begin!!
At this point of time, the demand for self-driven rental cars and drivers has shot up in Chennai. It is worthy to note that the bookings for 7-seater and SUVs offered by firms like Zoomcar and Revv were almost full for 31st December.
There are many hotels/resorts located on the ECR and Bengaluru. It is now said that there is a huge demand for a sedan car for trips to these places. The shocking news is the rates have increased now.
It must be taken into account that renting a car for 24 hours would normally cost Rs 2500 to Rs 4000 depending on the model and the rent has gone up to 30 percent more now.
Youngsters don’t prefer driver if a woman accompanies them because they feel a third person might create issues. This was brought out by Mr Ramanujam, TN Taxi Driver’s Association. He added that the demand for acting drivers is more now.
For picking up the guest from their homes and dropping them in the late hours, Chennai based chauffer Mr Duraipandi charges Rs 1000. He then revealed that the party-goers provide their own vehicles and utilize driving services only. He was happy about the resting time when the customers were engaged in celebrations
For the New Year Eve, resorts, beach houses and villas along ECR between Chennai and Mammalapuram are high on demand. Important information is the party-goers or revellers prefer beach resorts, houses and villas in the vicinity of the seashore for their celebrations.
Several months back, all the resorts and beach houses were booked and this was as per Mr Naresh Metha of a private seaside villa in Kannathur. The demand for hotels and resorts are usually just like last year and this was as per Mr T. Natarajan, honorary secretary of South India Hotels and Restaurants Association. He threw light on how few top star hotels in Chennai have discontinued their New Year celebration activities and are confined to food. There were also complaints from some resort operators that business this year was not on the expected lines.
