Change in date of release of the final draft of voters list

The sate of the release of the draft of the final voters’ list has been postponed from 16th December to 23rd December.
This was announced by the Chief Election Officer Satyaprada Sahu. The details!
As per a current system in practice, an opportunity is offered considering the 1st January of every year as the qualifying date and the citizens who have completed 18 years of age will be included in the voters’ list.
However, this year (2019), the facility has been provided to the voters to correct their personal details by themselves. Accordingly, it had been announced earlier that the draft final voters’ list to be released on 16th December.
Now, this date has been changed to 23rd December. In case the name is missing, concerned persons will be given time up to 22nd January to get their names included.
The scrutiny/verification of the corrections received as above would be completed before 3rd February. Thus, the draft of the final voters’ list will be released on 14th February.
