Never eat these foods when you are coughing

Cough could be due to various factors like cold, infections, pollutants and side effects of certain medications etc.  It must be noted that coughing is the action our body does to get rid of anything that irritates our lungs or throat.

Important point here is constant coughing could keep us awake in the night time and it could be highly irritating for us. Inflammation and throat spasms could result in coughing so it is important that we must avoid few foods to reduce the two mentioned above to reduce cough.

These foods are

Avoid Milk:
It must be noted that intake of dairy products and milk could stimulate the production of mucous in the respiratory tract including lungs and throat. So, it is important to avoid milk during cough.

Avoid caffeine, tea, energy drinks etc:
Coughing could be due to dry throat and by intake of fluids like water we could avoid dry throat in us due to dehydration. It is important that we must not drink caffeine, tea or energy drinks etc.

Avoid processed foods:
When we have cough then we must not take processed foods such as white bread, baked foods, white pasta, chips etc. It is superb to consume green leafy vegetables and other whole foods having rich nutrients.

Avoid citrus fruits:
By intake of citrus fruits having citric acid, acid reflux could be caused and it could aggravate the throat and would lead to coughing. Various examples of citrus fruits are grape fruit, lemon, oranges etc. Please take care.
