Southern Railway has announced that special fare trains would be operated in the route Kollam-Chennai Central. The notification on this mentions:
The special fare trains on the Kollam-Chennai Central will start from Kollam at 3.00 PM on 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th December and on 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th January and reach Chennai Central the next day at 9.50 AM.
The special fare trains for Chennai Central-Kollam will start on 1st, 8th, 15th, and 29th December and 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th January at 4.15 PM from Chennai Central and reach Kollam the next day at 10.10 AM.
The special fare trains in the route Kollam-Chennai Central will start from Kollam on 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd January at 3.00 PM and reach Chennai Central the next day at 7.20 AM.
The special fare trains in the section Chennai Central-Kollam will start from Chennai Central on 7th, 14th, and 28th January at 8.30 PM and reach Kollam the next day at 12.00 Noon.
The special fare trains in the route Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central will start from Thiruvananthapuram on 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th December and 15th January from Chennai at 3.45 PM and reach Thiruvananthapuram the next day at 9.45 AM.
The special fare trains in the route Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram will start from Chennai Central on 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th December and 2nd, 9th, and 16th January at 7.00 PM and reach Thiruvananthapuram the next day at 11.45 AM.
The reservations for the above special fare trains have commenced today (Tuesday, 19th November) at 8.00 AM.
