Free training for driving LCV by Road Transport Corporation!

The Road Transport Corporation is functioning in Chennai Taramani area. It has set up free training centres for driving (HCV) Heavy Commercial Vehicles in 19 places including Gummidipundi and Trichy.
In these training centres, training is imparted for driving a wide range of heavy-duty commercial vehicles. So far, until the year 2018-19, over 63000 candidates have been trained for driving heavy commercial vehicles.
In similar arrangements, free driving schools for cars have been set up in Chennai, Trichy, and Erode.
Jointly with the government’s Skill Development Corporation, free driving training is offered here. This has received a huge popular response from the public!
A notable point here is that large numbers of women have undergone this free training!
The officials shared in this regard:
‘The free driving classes are conducted for men, women, and the 3rd gender. A large number of women are coming forward to this free training course. The training is offered in an area covering 6 acres.
Apart from this, there are many other features and facilities. We arrange the trainees to get licences at the end of the free driving training.
The driving training for heavy commercial vehicles is offered at Gummidipundi. The re are 19 centres all over the state of Tamil Nadu. The facilities available at Taramani make it as the 2nd place behind Pune in this respect!
The trainers have rich experience in driving having gained experience working in State Transport Corporations with more than 30 years’ experience.
So, great, high-quality training is ensured. Apart from this, there is a special set-up which offers a ‘refreshment or rejuvenation’ course for the drivers who caused or were involved in accidents.
Training is offered for drivers who tend to operate the school/college buses quite fast!
Once the training gets completed, we arrange for the driving licence and also provide job opportunities in the private sector.’
