Tangedco ensures there will not be any power disruption in this place in Chennai

On 11th and 12th of October 2019, India-China`s informal summit would be taking place at Mamallapuram near Chennai.
The superb piece of news is Tangedco had ensured that there would not be any power disruption or voltage fluctuation in the 49 km stretch from ITC Grand Chola Hotel (China President Mr. Xi Jinping would be staying here) to Mamallapuram. Checking, cleaning, and painting of the junction boxes along the way have been carried out by the workers belonging to Tangedco.
A senior official belonging to Tangedco expressed his thoughts. He spoke about how till last week no information was received by their department about the summit. He explained how more than 1000 Tangedco workers have worked day and night from Guindy (where ITC Grand Chola Hotel is located) to Mamallapuram along OMR. In the initial stages, the cables were checked by these workers and later on transformers were also checked.
It must be taken into account that the Tangdco workers examined the load the transformers could handle and based on it they replaced parts. The point is to make sure that even if the load goes up a little tripping wont take place.
Information is discom made arrangements along with OMR and Tangedco workers from Kancheepuram district were utilized to change the overhead lines to underground cables in the place where Indian prime minister, Mr. Narendra Modi would be staying. The sub-stations that were set up during the Defence Expo in 20189 have been used well now as they came in handy.
It was later revealed by the official that the street lights from the Guindy hotel and on the OMR were checked again. It must be noted that at every transformer from Guindy to Mamallapuram there would be wireman and assistant and these persons would immediately rectify the issue of tripping of the transformers.
Point is for every 3 km a vehicle with officials and equipment would be keeping vigil to help the wiremen in case of any problem. High-end generators would be available to handle power supply issues in the hotels where Mr. Xi Jinping and Mr. Narendra Modi would be staying.
