SLAN to organize Indias biggest Mind Games Championship in Chennai on August 18th

SLAN (Sports Local Area Network), the first of its kind sports engagement platform in the kids, amateur, and the non-professional sports world, to organize India’s biggest “Mind Games Championship” for children. And as a part of the event, Chess & Scrabble tournament will be conducted in the Under-9, Under-12, Under-16 age group categories. Dairy Day Ice Creams, one of the leading brands in South India is the title sponsor for the first edition of the SLAN Mind Games Championship.
The five-weekend championship will be held across Hyderabad (July 7th), Vijayawada (August 4th), Bangalore (August 15th) and Chennai (August 18th). And the winners of each city will travel to Hyderabad to play the finals on August 25th. The venue for competitions in Chennai is AV Meiyappan Matriculation School, Virugambakkam, Chennai.
The Championships shall be governed by the General Regulations of FIDE competitions for Chess, and of the Scrabble Association. An entry fee of INR 499 is applicable to every participant.
We would like to invite school children, their parents and teachers to encourage their children and enroll them for the Championship that will help bring out the best amateur talent in the country.
