The grand occasion of Senior citizens day out in Chennai

Seniority, a shopping destination for senior citizens ushered in Parents’ Day by hosting a fun-filled and exciting event for senior residents of Chennai.

This entertaining event, held at Chennai Age Care Centre, was attended by the former senior judge of Madras High Court, Justice Jagadeesan and actively attended by dignitaries from HelpAge India, Senior Citizens’ Bureau, Probus and the National Alliance of Senior Citizens Associations of India (NASCAI), said a press release.
The programme
The event started off with video messages for parents, followed by a retro-themed trivia quiz to test their general knowledge quotient. The seniors were also treated to the screening of a short film Veedu, which is an emotional drama depicting the life of an elderly person, who after the demise of his beloved finds it difficult to adjust to the city life in Delhi. Attendees then bonded over a fun karaoke session and relived the special memories of yesteryear’s melodious music.
Concluding address
Seniority, co-founder, Ayush Agrawal said, ‘Parents’ Day` is a special occasion to not just acknowledge the sacrifices parents make, but also celebrate the unconditional love they shower on us. We wanted to engage with the senior parents in Chennai to offer them entertaining and enriching experiences.’
