India Yamaha Motor Reaches 10 Million Units Produced Milestone

  • The three India Yamaha Motor plants are located at Surajpur (Uttar Pradesh), Faridabad (Haryana) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu).
  • Half of the entire 10 million units have been produced in the last seven years between 2012 and 2019.
  • Yamaha had launched MT 15 in India at a starting price of Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) on March 15.
India Yamaha Motor has achieved a major milestone with its total production reaching 10 million units since the two-wheeler manufacturer began operations in the country in 1985. The 10 millionth unit turned out to be Yamaha FZS-FI Version 3.0 and it was rolled out from the company`s Chennai plant.

The 10 millionth product to rolled out was Yamaha`s best-selling motorcycle model, the FZ S FI Version 3.0, and it rolled out from the company`s Chennai plant. Present at the event were senior management members from 

Yamaha Motor Company Ltd., Japan, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, Mitsui & Company Ltd., Vendor park companies, employees and employee representatives.
