Examination centres for NEET aspirants of TN allotted within the state itself now

Many NEET aspirants from the state of Tamil Nadu found it very difficult to reach their examination centres as they were allotted exam centres outside TN in 2018. The superb piece of information now is in this 2019, NEET aspirants belonging to TN need not go outside TN to write their NEET examinations. The students have been allotted examination centres within Tamil Nadu itself. This would make as many as 1.4 odd lakhs NEET aspirants belonging to TN very happy.
It must not be forgotten that in the year 2018 as many as 13,000 NEET aspirants of TN were allotted examination centres outside TN in places like Haryana, Rajasthan and Kerala. This resulted in chaos as the students found it difficult to reach their exam centres. Many NEET aspirants from TN did not even appear for the exam. On Monday, 15th April 2019, the admit cards for NEET were uploaded.
According to the officials belonging to the school education department till Tuesday evening there were no complaints regarding students getting examination centres outside TN.
For the NEET exam this year, more than 19,000 candidates from both government schools as well as government aided schools have registered. The NEET aspirants expressed their happiness regarding their examination centres allotted inside TN. The important information gathered is in the year 2018 1.17 lakhs students from TN took NEET exam and there were just 210 exam centres for them. Now in the year 2019, for 1.4 lakh students of TN there would be as many as 550 examination centres.
National Testing Agency or NTA has been responsible for setting up of these examination centres in TN. Another piece of information that has come out is in Tamil Nadu NTA has added 4 more cities where the number of applicants is below 4000.
The point to be noted is in this year 2019 a total of 14 cities belonging to TN have been designated as NEET centres. These cities are Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Kancheepuram, Karur, Madurai, Nagercoil, Namakkal, Salem, Tanjavur, Tiruvallur, Trichy, Tirunelveli and Vellore. It is well known that NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test was started in the year 2013.
