TNPSC examinations get postponed due to the impending parliamentary elections

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) had announced earlier the written examination for the recruitment of the vacant posts of Senior Technical Assistants and Junior Technical Assistants is scheduled on 20th April and the written examination for the recruitment for the vacant posts of Chemists, Junior Chemists, Assistant Chemist, Assistant Geographer, Geographic Chemists, and Assistant Supervisors for approved schools is scheduled on 21st April.
In this scenario, the above examinations stand postponed all of a sudden! In a report regarding this issue released by TNPSC Examination Council Secretary Nandhakumar, it is mentioned:
‘As the parliamentary elections are scheduled to conducted in Tamil Nadu on 18th April, TNPSC has decided that the written examinations scheduled to be conducted on 20th and 21st April stand postponed. The details:
- Senior Technical Assistants and Junior Technical Assistants – 11th April (Forenoon and Afternoon)
- Chemists, Junior Chemists – 4th May (Forenoon and Afternoon)
- Assistant Geographer and Geographic Chemist – 5th May (Forenoon and Afternoon)
- Assistant Supervisor for approved schools – 5th May (Forenoon and Afternoon)
- These examinations, as already announced by TNPSC, will be conducted in the 3 districts of Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore.’
