TESO bandh did not affect normal life

The bandh declared by DMK led TESO (Tamil Eelam Supporters’ Organisation) did not affect normal life in Chennai on Tuesday. The police reported that there was no untoward incident related to the bandh and that in spite of many shops and hotels being closed, life went on as usual in the city.
The bandh was organized to urge the Centre to support the US led resolution in the United Nations. The resolution is against Sri Lanka for alleged war crimes on civilians during their civil war with the LTTE.
