Chennai Airport control room caught fire

Due to sudden fire accident that took place on the third-floor of the Control Room of the Chennai Airport on Tuesday early morning, the services of the several airlines were affected.
Several planes which arrived at the airport for landing were diverted to other airports. Timely arrival of five fire vans at the airport at 3 AM said to be saved the heavy loss. For fire brigades it took more than two hours to extinguish the fire.
According to an official of the Chennai Airport, the fire had occurred due to short-circuit.
The aerodrome officials has announced that the arrival and takeoff of several planes would be delayed till the officials set right the Control Room.
