Prospects of rain today (26th December) in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The Chennai Meteorological centre has informed that there are prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today (Wednesday, 26th December).
The officials of the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained in this regard:
The low-pressure format which was prevailing over the South Andaman has drifted and is presently located over the southeast Bay of Bengal. Due to this, it has been raining in Kerala.
There are prospects of mild to medium rain in 1 or 2 places today (26th December) in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy. It may rain in 1or 2 places. The maximum temperature will be 86 Degrees Fahrenheit and the minimum temperature will be 69.8 Degrees Fahrenheit.
It is expected that the depression zone prevailing over the southeast Bay of Bengal may intensify and drift towards the area above between Kanyakumari and Cuddalore. So, the info regarding which direction the depression zone will drift and the extent of rain may be known only by 28th December.
