IRCTC - Concession on service charges extended till 31st March

Several lakhs of passengers make the online train booking on the official website of IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) - www.irctc.co.in/eticketing.
For the system of online booking of train tickets, service charges up to Rs. 120 are collected depending on the mode of travel, sleeper, a/c. or class.
As a means to encourage online booking, this service charge was not collected till the period August 2018.
Meanwhile, with the view of the benefit to the passenger and also to encourage cashless transaction, this concession of waiving the above service charges is being extended until 31st March 2019. This is as per the official announcement by IRCTC.
