People of Tamil Nadu and Chennai city have been waking up hearing more news about the weather in the recent times. It has been just four days when the city of Chennai had received first monsoon spell of rains. Now the news that has come out is weathermen had predicted that this dry spell would continue till the end of this November. In the first week of the month of December there would be few spells of rains in the state of Tamil Nadu. One important point here is Chennai city and its neighbourhood might have to wait for some more time before they receive next spell of rains.

It is important to mention that a cyclonic circulation lies over the Gulf of Siam and neighbourhood extending up to 5.8km above mean sea level. This was as per the predictions of IMD’s regional weather inference. Earlier a cyclonic circulation existed over the equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Sumatra extending up to 4.5km above mean sea level. This cyclonic circulation has become less marked. According to the deputy director general of IMD, S. Balachandran, for the next three days there might be short spells of rains over few places but Chennai city might largely remain dry.

In the Chennai city the skies would be partly cloudy for the next 48 hours. This has been forecasted by the Indian Meteorological Department. The maximum temperature would hover around 31 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature would hover around 23 degree Celsius. There might be scattered rains in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu by 30th of December 2018 and this has been predicted by none other than the Chennai based weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John. He later hinted that there might be moderate rainfall over delta region and in southern TN. He finally spoke about how the rains would be insignificant for Chennai city.
